Three ways of requesting

Decided to modify the site a little bit.

Now you may make your request in three ways: 1) email (more confidential), 2) forum (in case of searching answers from any forum residents) or 3) blog (if blog is your convinient mean of communication).

If the latter option is the case, you may leave your message below.

Interns to come

Glad to inform that Translation Department of Yakutsk State University is sending five four-year students to have internship in YakutiaToday.com's editorial office. It means more big stories to appear on the website. Cool!

Gratitude

I recieved email message from Igor, who used to live in the settlement of Deputatsky, Yakutia, and who works now in Boston, USA. He said "Thanks for your maintaining YakutiaToday.com.'

I was shocked. That was the first time when I heard any gratitude. Actually, I am working on the site, just because I feel the duty. There must be the site about Yakutia in English and there should be someone to make it. That's it. But, damn, to hear the word 'thank' was really pleasant to me!

Thanks, Igor, for your thanks.

Marshalltown, USA, became interested in Yakutsk

A couple of weeks ago Ken Black, Times-Republican News Reporter based in Marshalltown, USA, expressed his interest to the City of Yakutsk, one of the coldest cities in the world.

He forwarded many questions to me. The key one was "How do you cope under such extreme conditions in winter?" I replied and he wrote then a column dedicated to Yakutsk at Times-Republican on December 29, 2006.

His story is available at YakutiaToday.com in the section Life under the title Yakutsk. Life in Winter.

Little fellows for marketing

A few days ago, prior to 2007, I recieved email from Mr. Pertti Teikari, of Finland.

He asked me: "Maybe some organisation could use these little fellows in their marketing or sales activities, if you have an idea for them please ask to contact me. "

Right now I have no idea. Perhaps, any site visitors might want to use these cute wooden mammoths. If any, let me know.
