ESTABLISHED in 2005.
PREFACE. Actually there was the army of off-road drivers in the republic earlier. An ordinary car holder who live in the country might be regarded as an extreme driver by definition. Yakutia does not have divided highways with high-speed running between settlements. Dual and four-lane roads can be available only in the cities of Yakutsk, Neryungri and Mirny only. On other parts of the republic territory, towns, villages and settlements are connected with poor roads, causeways and winter roads (availabe only in snowy season)...
There are indeed many places difficult of access. To reach them seems unfeasible for the absence of roads at all. Latter is impossible to construct because of existing severe conditions. But this mentioned circumstance does not mean people who live in there should not get back home. Therefore it is common for local drivers to go and traverse through impassable terrains. If your vehicle got stuck once or twice, it is more than is considered to be the case of great luck.
No kidding. That's the heart of Siberia. Now you know why a member of Yakutsk Off-road Vehicle Club says: 'I did not decide to join off-road drivers. I am one of them from the very moment I acquired a car'.
Why were all these naturally born extreme drivers united and combined into the club. They listed the following major reasons:
- desire to adventure;
- desire to check all capacities and potentials of the beloved vehicle;
- desire to get new destinations, feelings and impressions (eventually any driver can be sick of overcoming the same way with the same difficulties);
- desire to ride across the republic and see its nature beauties;
- desire to overcome obstacles together (it is obligatory to have support for car travelling in Yakutia; if your are riding alone and no human being around, any bad things can happen and no one will help you); when drivers are together, they can do long dinstance ride.
ACTIVITIES:
- so-called off-road break-through (weekend riding through places difficult to traverse);
- spring expedition to the Pole of Cold;
- long dinstance expeditions in summer.

Yakutian drivers participated in the long distance rally arranged by Vladivostok Off-road Club. And our guys won the race.
