In Harbin the Days of Yakutia begin
HARBIN. On September 14 the official delegation of RS (Я) led by vice-president Alexander Akimov has arrived to Harbin. On September, 15 Days of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), which pass within the framework of Russia's Year in Chinese People's Republic, begin in China.
The work of the delegation began from putting flowers on a memorial to the Soviet soldiers. Then they met with the vice-president and members of the National Government of Heilongjiang Province.
"We are very glad to meet with delegation from Yakutia. Our province and your republic already have cooperated fruitfully in economy, culture, and science. The territory of Yakutia is huge and its bowels are rich. We have potential for the further cooperation," vice-president Van Limin said.
The vice-president of the Heilongjiang government declared that province authority is ready to support Chinese companies in cooperation with Yakutia. «In 2007 the Year of China will be held in Russia and we want to present our province in the Far East including Yakutia,» Van Limin said.
Vice-president of Yakutia Alexander Akimov has thanked the Chinese for warm reception. “You welcomed us as good friends," he said. "Between Heilongjiang and Yakutia especially warm relations were established. In the Days of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in Harbin we'll show our potential. We hope our cooperation will develop. And welcome to Yakutia next year. The government of Yakutia will do the best to assist you in carrying out Heilongjiang Days in our republic».

The Days of Yakutia proceed in Harbin
On Friday evening, Sept. 16, "Welcome to the Land of Olonkho” Exhibition took place at Harbin's conference hall. The event was attended by Yakutia's vice-president Alexander Akimov, governor assistant of Heilongjiang Van Limin, the Russian consul general in Shenyang Stanislav Muravsky and other officials.
The Yakut khomys, jewels, mammoth tusk souvenirs and fur products were displayed at exhibition. There were also information boards with information on republic's communication, transports and largest mining companies.
The social and economic development of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was traditionally reported. The heads of republic's companies - ALROSA, Sakhaneftegas, Yakutugol, Sakhatelekom, Yakutia Airlines and other businesses - performed before the Chinese businesspersons as well.
On Saturday the delegation of Yakutia continues the work in Harbin.

Business circles of Yakutia and China have carried on negotiations
HARBIN. On September 16 in Heilongjiang Commerce Department there were negotiations between Yakutia and China's business representatives within the Days of Yakutia in Harbin.
Negotiators were the heads of business affairs, tourism and employment ministries, of the state committee on trade and material resources, and managers of the largest Yakutsk businesses: ALROSA, Lensky River Shipping Company, Sakhaneftegas, Yakutugol, Sakhatelekom etc.
Opportunities of further cooperation were mainly discussed. The Chinese businessmen were especially interested in mining, timber and agricultural industries.
As a result, Heilongjiang Province (in the person of vice-premier Van Limin) and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) (in the person of vice-president Alexander Akimov) signed the report of intentions.

The Meetings of Yakutia's official delegation in China
HARBIN. The Days of Yakutia proceed in Harbin. On Sunday the official delegation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) led by republic vice-president Alexander Akimov was accepted by Governor of Heilongjiang Zhang Zuoji who early had been awarded with distinction 'Civil Valor' by the Decree of Yakutia's President Vyacheslav Shtyrov.
The representatives of Yakutia business circles visited the city of Sujhua. They saw building materials and milk-processing factories - SSHO E companies. By the way, SSHO E has launched building materials manufacture «Segodnyashny Harbin» in Yakutsk. This is the first Chinese-Yakutian joint venture. In future, the company plans additionally to create fast food network in Yakutsk.
On Sunday, Sept. 17, «Russian village» Island Tourist Complex the cultural program of the Sakha Republics (Yakutia) took place.
Today the official delegation of the republic participates in the events arranged by Sergey Mironov, speaker of the Russian Federal Assembly. The part of delegation has left for the city of Datsin.
On Monday evening the republic official delegation is leaving for Beijing where the Days of Yakutia will proceed.

Yakutsk – Beijing: Days of Yakutia go on in China
BEIJING . Days of Yakutia continues in Beijing . Today, on Sept. 20, the Yakutian delegation intends to have meetings in China 's ministries, departments and with businessmen.
Thus, chairman of Yakutia's Association of Independent Trade Unions Alexander Kim-Kiman, director of Republic's Personnel Department Artem Slepzov, executive director of Children of Asia Sports Game Michael Druzyanov, head of Ust Aldansky District Municipal Administration Innokentij Bochkarev are going to meet with the representatives of China 's Ministry of Education.
There will be negotiations with China's State Committee of Development and Reforms. Yakutia will be represented by vice-president Alexander Akimov, the 1 st deputy chairman of the republic parliament Yuri Zabolev, mister of economic development Victor Efimov, acting minister of foreign relations Georgy Nikonov and 1 st deputy minister of industry Alexei Golubenko.
SakhaTelecom OJSC and Huaway Electronics Corporation concluded five-year agreement on communication equipments supply.
Moreover, the Yakutian delegation plans to meet with the chairman of Chinese Society of Friendship with Foreign Countries. On September 21, the residence of the society will host the presentation of Yakutia - Welcome to the Land of Olonkho Exhibition .
The official delegation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) plans also to visit Chinese National Oil & Gas Corporation “CNPC”.
In the evening Yakutian artists will arrange the concert in the Russian Embassy in Beijing .
On September 22, there will be press-conference scheduled in RIA Novosti Information Center as well as the meeting in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Welcome to the Land of Olonkho Exhibition is opening in Beijing
BEIJING. Today the grand opening of Welcome to the Land of Olonkho Exhibition will be held in the capital of Chinese People's Republic within the Days of Yakutia.
The day before the Yakutian official delegation had several meetings in Beijing.
Yakutia's Association of Independent Trade Unions Alexander Kim-Kiman, director of Republic's Personnel Department Artem Slepzov, executive director of Children of Asia Sports Games Michael Druzyanov and head of Ust Aldansky District Municipal Administration Innokentij Bochkarev visited China 's Ministry of Education. Guests were accepted by the representatives of foreign relations department, minister's society of teenagers & students.
The subject of talks appeared to be cooperation in education and sports. In particular, parts discussed Chinese team's participation in 4th Children of Asia Sports Games, exchange programs and the foundation of Sakha-Chinese elementary school in the Republic of Sakha. Yakutia athletes are invited to participate in World Students Winter Games 2009 in Harbin. Certainly, the Chinese part couldn't avoid the Olympic Games 2008. As result, Yakutians got souvenirs with Olympic symbols. On Sept. 20 SakhaTelecom OJSC and Huaway Electronics Corporation concluded five-year agreement on delivery of communication equipments to Yakutia.
There was also the meeting arranged with the chairman of Chinese Society of Friendship with Foreign Countries Chen Huasu. Vice-president of Yakutia Alexander Akimov thanked the society for its helping to organize the Days of Yakutia in China . He noted all northern republic presentations in Harbin had been done at high level. On behalf of President V.Shtyrov Mr. Akimov awarded Chen Huasu with insignia “Civil Valor”.
On Sept. 21 in Beijing the social and economic development of Yakutia will be presented by the spokesmen of key republic enterprises. Opera Theater soloists, violin choir “Virtuoso of Yakutia” and Ayarkhaan will enhance the grand opening of Welcome to the Land of Olonkho Exhibition. Additionally today there will be the meeting in CNPC National Oil & Gas Corporation as well as Yakutian artists' performance in the Russian Embassy.
Days of Yakutia in China will come to the end on September 23.

Days of Yakutia is coming to the end
BEIJING . The day before the presentation of Republic Social & Economic Development Presentation was held in the residence belonged to China 's Society of Friendship with Foreign Countries. Former Russian ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in China Igor Rogachev visited the event.
Later Welcome to the Land of Olonkho Exhibition was opened in the same residence. Visitors' attention was especially drawn with Sakhabult 's fur products and jewelry made by EPL Diamond , Sakha Taas and Dragozennosti Yakutii (Jewelry of Yakutia). Interest was expressed to boards with information on ALROSA, Yakutugol, SakhaTelecom and other republic companies. Certainly, exhibition couldn't do without Yakutian artists.
Scheduled meetings took place in CNPC office and the Russian Embassy where vice-president Alexander Akimov was accepted by ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary Sergei Razov.
The day was crowned with the concert given by Yakutian artists in the Russian embassy. Among performers there were opera stars Aitalina Adamova, Marina Silina, Yuri Baishev and Nikolay Popov as well as Ayarkhaan, Ramada (the ensemble of Russian songs from Nerungri), circus actors who got trainings in Beijing , and violin choir “Virtuoso of Yakutia”
On September 22, the official delegation of Yakutia will have meetings in the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Committee of Reforms and Development, and it will also give press conference
to sum up the Days of Yakutia.
