Someone at all didn't understand such kind of activity to be held. However the Days of Yakutia in Harbin and Beijing made to think of many things connected with China seriously, to realize today's situation and not to make mistakes in future. - In the territory of Manchuria there were many more powerful cities than Harbin but none of them could become the center of consolidation of our future province. And Harbin became, - Mister Van Limin told on reception in the exhibition center "Huatsi". What we studied, what a field of activity has taken, the phenomenon of a special role of Harbin in the Chinese state is visible with open years. Both history, and economy, and the literature are significative of it. The phenomenon of Harbin is not invented, and it really exists. First of all it is the most Russian city of China as you could convinced. Till now the former capital SER(Sino-Eastern Railway) has been reminding Russia in architecture of some buildings. That's why we supported and made advances to Yakutia in its idea to lead the Days of republic in our country. Today your northern region is one of remarkable objects the Russian Federation history and acts as an example for many other regions of your country. We could see it during our visit in Yakutsk in the summer of this year …
Really, Harbin is obliged by its occurrence to Sino-Eastern Railway constructed by Russia in 1897- 1903. In the beginning of the last century it was accepted the official name of city which occurs from Manchurian "harba" – “ford, a ferry “. Harbin was designed by Russian engineers; therefore it considerably differs from other centers of China by the buildings' characteristic. This beautiful city with the population of five and a half of millions person attracts by its history, architecture, and sights, where we should point the Church of protection of the holy virgin. But the main symbols of Harbin are the Monument to defenders of city from flooding and the Big Bridge through Sungari with 1198 meters length, which spanned the city with a zone of rest, including island of the Sun where the settle down “Russian village” is also situated. There Yakut actors –such as the State ensemble of violinists " Virtuosos of Yakutia ", Albina Degtjareva's folklore group, ensemble of Russian song "Ramada" from Nerungry performed successfully. Spectators have been fascinated by voices of Honoured Artists of Russia such as Aitalina Adamova, Marina Silina, and Jury Baishev.
But, perhaps, the most important result of their visit in The Heavenly Empire was the conclusion of treaties and contracts on cooperation. One of the cores was the meeting of business circles of a province Heilongjiang with the heads of the largest businesses and the organizations of Yakutia. More than 80 companies from Chinese party participated in this meeting. According to Rodion Fedorov, the chairman of the State Committee on trade and material resources, this and other meetings with the Chinese colleagues directly at their businesses helped to come into direct contacts. The Chinese were especially interested in the branches connected with extraction and oil refining and gas, a wood, building materials, tourism, small and average business. And Yakut delegation, having divided into groups, visited not only Harbin and Beijing , but also Daging, Hailare, Suifunche, Luncine and other cities of China . Yakut people will soon see the results of these trips. The Chinese are ready to cooperate seriously and for a long time.
The exhibition “Welcome to the land of Olonkho ” certainly served adjustment of contacts. But if in Beijing in small glass pavilion of Chinese society of friendship with foreign countries it was presented in fact-finding character, in well-known Harbin exhibition center "Huatsi" it was shown perfectly. The Harbin international fair from the date of its creation was hold 17 times successively and became one of grandiose international trade and economic exhibitions which have influence not only in Northeast Asia. Annually businessmen from more than 80 countries take part in this fair as exhibitors. Among them there are Boeing, Mitsubishi, Nescafe, Shell, Siemens, Hyundai and others. The common exhibition area is seven and a half of square kilometers.
In our exposition there were presented JSC ‘ALROSA', OJSC ‘Yakutugol', JSC ‘Polus', OJSC ‘Zoloto Yakutii', OJSC ‘Sakhauvelir', OJSC ‘Dragozennosti Yakutii', OJSC ‘Apl Diamond', OJSC ‘Sakha Òàà s' , and BAIC ‘Sakhabult'. The industry and bowels of Yakutia, timber industry, transport and building complexes, communication and information technologies were presented by separate bench materials. During five years OJSC ‘Sakhatelekom' cooperates with the Chinese colleagues successfully and this time it concluded an agreement with the corporation Huavej for 2007-2011. According to the contract, more than $ 2.5 mln new equipment of communication and electronics for the sum exceeding will be delivered in Yakutia. And this is one of the replies to the opponents of carrying out of republic exit actions. The trip to China had a business orientation and helped in search of potential investors, subserved cooperation between different branches in industry and promotion of Yakut businesses' production on the market of our great southern neighbour. The representatives of the ministries, the businesses, and the companies of Yakutia have signed contracts with the profile businesses and departments. Also our delegation visited Heilongjiang State University . Today we consider the high schools of the Peoples Republic of China as one of the basic potentials of Yakutia's innovative development and rely on support of our Chinese friends. We have small experience in such cooperation and want to branch it. More than 50 students from Yakutia study in Heilongjiang University , and more than 150 - in high schools of Beijing . What about Harbin high school, its history began from 1941. That time it was working semi-licitly and referred to anti-Japanese university. It is remarkable, that during 65 years Heilongjiang University has been being the leading center of studying of Russian in China . If to think of the history of the city, it probably was so. But today the meetings of Yakut delegation members, in particular Artem Sleptsov, the head of Department on forecasting, preparation and placement of personnel at President RS(Y), in the Ministry of Education of the Peoples Republic of China, and in the Department of formation of a province Heilongjiang will serve increase of Yakut students' numbers in the Chinese high schools. Studying Chinese in high schools around the world is perspective, and Chinese is the second more studied language after English …
More than forty Chinese journalists participated at final press conference in the Russian information centre and vice-president of Rs(Y) Alexander Akimov has thanked the Chinese for warm reception, excellent carrying of the planned activities. He said: «We are satisfied by our trip to the Chinese National Republic . During meetings with the Chinese friends we contracted for investments, we shall manage joint exploitation of the republic's iron-ore and coal deposits and develop cooperation in timber industry. A number of companies are interested to cooperate in building and architecture. We took part in representative Russian-Chinese conference concerning legislative maintenance of cooperation between the Russian Federation and China . It was headed by Bango, the Chairman of All-China Assembly of national representatives, and Sergey Mironov, the Chairman of Federation Soviet. Representatives of parliaments decided to increase cooperation between China and Russia and to legislate it. The exhibition and presentation of republic's potential opportunities showed the Chinese that we are to develop joint business. The meeting in world-wide famous oil corporation CNPC has confirmed intentions of the parties on cooperation in oil-and-gas branch. And this is topical interest in a view of construction of an oil pipeline Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean . We hope our cooperation to increase, and the Days of Yakutia in China will promote it. We wish to assure, that in 2007 our republic will help you in carrying out of China Year in Russia . The attained arrangements in different areas will become the real contribution to the further development of the Russian-Chinese cooperation… "
The Days of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) in the Chinese National Republic passed off. What about some results, it is necessary say that Yakut delegation trip in The Heavenly Empire had political and business character. The Days of Yakutia became not only regional, but also all-Russian holiday within the framework of Russia 's Year in China . And it became the demonstration of a position and political opportunities of the largest subject of the Russian Federation . Demonstration of economy achievements and multinational art of republic was successful. The program of the Days was enough volumetric and wide by its meetings and contacts. "Yakutia, that could "get" such event, is an object of envy of other Russia regions, - Oleg Sharakin told your correspondent, press attaché of the Russian Federation Embassy in Beijing . - Unfortunately I hane never been in you republic, but, of course, I heard more about its opportunities, rich depths potential. It was evidently shown with your exhibition and presentation of Yakutia leading businesses. And what a remarkable concert your artists have shown in embassy! All of us were satisfied. The land of Olonkho is rich not in its diamonds, and its people…"
If to say honestly, members of the Yakut delegation went to China with some fear. To hold the Days of republic in this country is a great honor and responsibility. But cautious expectations were not justified. The participants of exhibition and the members of delegation presented themselves with dignity. We did not blind shine of diamonds, we tried to move the heart of China because it is worthy of that …
