THE REPUBLIC OF SAKHA (YAKUTIA) is one of the most economically important subjects of the Russian Federation. It is a part of the Far-Eastern federal district. Yakutia occupies one-fifth of the country and lies within three time-zones. Located in the north-eastern part of Asia, the region stretches 2000 km from north to south and 2500 km from west to east. Geocaching is becoming popular in Yakutia. Caches have already been planted in Yakutsk and Aldan. Recently, it was hidden in Kihilyakh, among sacred pillars in the Verkhoyansky ulus, by Vika Pavlova. |
