Bert Khara Olonkho, Part II

On Apr. 23, 2006 Ueden Tugeghe (The Underworld) Music-Dance Show was presented on the stage of A.Kulakovsky Culture House. This is the second part of Bert Khara Olonkho Trilogy.
Creators are well-known in Yakutia. The original dynamic music with national motives was composed by P.Ivanova. Olonkho ballet was staged by G.S. Baishev. On their turn, G. Reshetnikov and M. Yadrikhinskaya designed costumes so good that latter reflected the major features of characters.
The libretto of ballet turned out to be simple. According to the classic plot of olonkho, a peaceful life fainted in the Middle World. The master of the Underworld Arsan Duolay had killed Bergen , the defender of Ayii Aymagha's tribe, and stole beauty Aytaly Kuo. The mistress of the earth Aan Alakhsyn Khotun reminded people about warrior Bert Khara who is prophesied to be their future protector.
People took her advice. With the warrior they levied just war. They spent much time in searching the entrance to the underworld. Eventually they found it but suffered resounding defeat. Arsan Duolay and his army celebrated victory. Thereafter Aan Alakhsyn Khotun appealed to the spirits of the Upper World and called udaghan Ayii Umsuur for help. She and her divine udaghans (female shaman) descended on the earth, raised Bert Khara from the dead, strengthened and inspired him for struggles. In the upshot, he won a victory over the Underworld and got triumphant over his offender. Peace returned to the settlement of Ayii Aymagha .
The performance looked perfect. Costumes appeared to be beautiful and splendid. The actors of the National Dance Theater played their parts with great inspiration. Bert Khara Part II appeared to be the very moment for storyteller-olonkhosut D.Artjemev to display his great talent. Besides, the show was greatly backed up by Ayilgy Kids Dance Ensemble, of Yakutsk Childhood Palace , and the orchestra of national instruments as well.
