Yakutian jewelers visited Shanghai and Hong Kong
YAKUTSK. The official delegation of Yakutia with the republic minister of industry Alexander Struchkov paid a business visit to Shanghai and Hong Kong.
The purpose of the visit was to promote Yakutian jewelry, precious stones, and diamonds in China’s market.
Agenda included also the proposal of creating a joint venture to trade the products of the republic jeweller’s enterprises in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
On July 7–8, 2006 the delegation of the Sakha Republic visited Shanghai Diamond Exchange. Guests were accepted by Chairman of Shanghai Diamond Association and Secretary General of Shanghai Diamond Exchange.
During the meeting negotiators noted mutual wish for establishing and strengthening cooperation between Shanghai Diamond Association and Yakutians jeweller’s and lapidary companies. The negotiation was protocolled and approved by signatures.
On July 9–12, 2006, the delegation worked in Hong Kong. Yakutians visited a number of jeweller’s factories, had business meeting with Chairman of Hong Kong Diamond Federation, Secretary General of Industry Federation, Chairman of Jewelers Association, and others.
Additionally, the delegation talked to top-managers of Charles & Colvard, Chow Tai Fook, Chi Ching Gem Jewelry, Nelson Jewellery, Estelle Jewellery, Lee Hang Diamond, etc.
Yakutian jewelers’ visit to Hong Kong was arranged by executive director of Charles & Colvard Helen Low who is a representative Hong Kong Government and vice president of Hong Kong Diamond Federation & Jewelry Producers Association.
To establish on long-term cooperation, the officials and jewelers of the Sakha Republic were invited to participate in World Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair и Hongkong Jewellery & Watch Fair on Sept. 19 – 23, 2006.
