'Yakutian Transportation Complex Development Program should be more elaborated'
State Program ‘Development of Transportation Complex of Yakutia' for 2005—2015 needs more elaboration, Vyacheslav Shtyrov, President of Yakutia, said.
According to V.Shtyrov, there appeared new goals and objectives, which should be taken into consideration. ‘For instance, there is a task to pass some units of transportation complex to federal authority. Such circumstance cannot be left without attention' said the president. The head of the republic claimed that the modified version of the program with changes included must be presented by the end of October.
The program consists of five subprograms: railway, air, river and passenger transportation as well as motor roads.
The most efficient activities are the construction of the railway-motor bridge over the Lena river, the elimination of gaps on ground roads, the maintenance of airports, the renewal of air fleet, the construction and renovation of cargo boats, the revival of the republic bus station system, and so on.
According to Oleg Grinchenko, the 1 st deputy minister of transportation of the republic, the total program funding is evaluated at 157 billions roubles (22% from the federal budget, 40% from republic budget, and 38% from off-budget resources).
12.7 billions was allotted in 2006, and 11.2 billions in next year.
