Yakutian B757 to get comfortable seats
Yakutia Airlines announced that the B757 leased by the company for three years is starting flights on the route Yakutsk — Moscow — Yakutsk from the end of March. The air carrier asked the plane owner to install seats with higher backs which are more suitable for long-distance flights. At present, the plane is in Iceland . After seats installed, the plane will arrive in Moscow for customs clearance.
Boeing 757 is more profitable than TU 154, said Ivan Prostit, president of Yakutia Airlines. It consumes fuel two times less and takes 199 passengers aboard. The Russian aircraft's capacity is 120 people.
B757 won't affect flight rates. On the route between Moscow and Yakutsk, tariffs will remain the same.
