Yakutugol to restrict coal extraction to 8.6 million tonnes
Yakutugol Company intends to decrease coal extraction to 8.6 million tonnes in 2009.
The company representative said that “In 2008 the plan on extraction of 12.6 million tonnes of coal was fulfilled by 95%, the profit of the company made RUB 16.5 billion, 4.5 billion of taxes from this amount went to Yakutia budget.”
He said that “In 2009 the company intends to extract 8.6 million tonnes of coal only. In this case RUB 1.9 billion of taxes instead of planned 3.7 billion will go to the republic’s budget.”
Meanwhile, the company representative emphasized that under favorable conditions in the sales market the holding is ready to increase extraction volumes.
