National project:
Rural schools to acquire new buses
The Russian Federal Agency of Education plans to purchase 3,300 school buses. Rural institutions of general educations are the first to acquire those buses. This year about 1 billion roubles will be spent for that purpose.
Russian schools actually require 10,500 buses. According to the chief of the Federal Agency Grigory Balykhin, the national projects “Education” supposes that schools' need for special transports will be met gradually and in the course of four years.
Authorities determined to purchase minivans “CEMAP”, Volkswagen LT-46 and MAZ-103. The choice is not occasion. The vehicles have efficient heating system and additional warning lights.
In the case of the national project, suppliers ensure, minivans will cost 150-200 thousand roubles less than market prices.
It is proposed to distribute the first part of transportations proportionally to the quantity of rural school kids. However, donated regions will have doubled quotas. The bus purchase will be partially supported by regional budgetary funds.
The Federal Agency informs the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is going to get more buses than other regions – 53 vans.
