Yakutian Sculptors' Victory in Harbin 's Snow & Ice Festival

HARBIN , CHINA . Yakutians won the first place in the competition of ice sculptures in International Snow & Ice Festival'2006.

On January 11, Yakutia-Sakha News Agency informed that the distinguished jury of the competition and regular visitors had recognized the Yakutian ice-work «The Return of Shaman» as the best.

Harbin 's Snow & Ice Festival is annual show hold in the beginning of January. The last one was the 22 nd . There were more than 100 participants from China , Russia , USA , France , Germany , Canada , Japan , Korea , Singapore , Malaysia and other countries.

The Yakutian team consisted of eight sculptors led by well-known Fedor Makarov. They have already been to Harbin 's Fest for several times.
