Days of Yakutia in Harbin is coming

HARBIN. Chairman of People's Government of Heilongjiang Zhang Zuoji has met Vice-President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Alexander Akimov in Harbin , China , on July 4, 2006.

The meeting was also attended by officials of provincial departments of commerce, quarantine service, finance, and public security.

The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss upcoming Days of Yakutia in Harbin , on Sept. 15—19, within the framework of Russia 's Year in China .

The governor of Heilongjiang marked the increasing interest of businessmen of the province to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and emphasized that Heilongjiang attaches especial importance to the upcoming event.

Vice-President of Yakutia expressed hope in further successful implementation of interregional economical and cultural cooperation signed in 2004. Alexander Akimov also proposed the Chinese partner to carry out some events in the framework of China 's Year in Russia in 2007.

Both sides approved the proposal of arranging joint auto rally Harbin – Yakutsk.

In the end of the talk, Mr. Zhang Zuoji thanked Alexander Akimov for hospitality arranged in the course of governor's official visit to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in last July.
