Days of Yakutia in China
September 15-22, 2006

YAKUTSK . On August 28, 2006 vice-president of Yakutia presided in a session of the executive committee of Days of Yakutia in Chinese People's Republic. The heads of republic ministries participated in the meeting.

Days of Yakutia are scheduled on September 15—22, 2006. The program contains, for instance, the exhibition in Harbin, a sort of Yakutia economic presentation. There will be much information on diamond & brilliant cutting industry, oil, gas and coal mining, transportation, telecommunication, agriculture.

The official delegation intended to visit jewellery factories, Heilongjiang Power Company, a car factory, tractor plants. The representatives of Yakutian companies plan to meet Chinese businessmen in the cities of Daqing, Jiamusi and Hong Kong .

On September 20 in Beijing the official delegation of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are going to have meetings in the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Relations, Reform & Reconstruction Committee. Yakutia plans to arrange the reception in the Embassy of the Russian Federation . The chairman of the Russian senate Sergey Mironov is expected as a special guest in the event.

The delegation of Yakutia will consist of 123 people. They are the representatives of ministries, departments, leading republic companies, and cultural workers.

The major carrier will be Yakutia Airlines that has regular flights from Yakutsk to Harbin and Beijing.

The vice-president of Yakutia noted that this event shouldn't be an ordinary familiarization voyage. Chinese businessmen are very interested in establishing cooperation with the Republic. So everything must be done in a worthy and responsible manner.
