Shtyrov to serve for the second presidential term
On December 7, the Yakutian parliament reappointed Vyacheslav Shtyrov President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for another five-year term.
Vyacheslav Shtyrov is the incumbent president of Yakutia elected in the 2002 general election. On November 28, the Russian President Putin nominated Shtyrov as presidential contender in accordance with Asset #18 of the Russian Federal Law #184.
Today Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far East Federal District Kamil Iskhakov introduced Shtyrov to the republic parliament for approving and empowering. Envoy's speech was partly produced in the Sakha language.
The legislature gave the positive decision. Shtyrov's candidacy was supported by 60 votes with three votes against and one abstention.
Vyacheslav Shtyrov thanked the parliament for meeting him with full approval. “The positive ballot came out from his five-year fruitful work for the sake of the republic,” said Kamil Iskhakov.
So what about his next five years? “Yakutian's active incomes will be increase in 2.5 times, but nominal ones in three times,” said President of Yakutia Vyacheslav Shtyrov in his keynote speech.
By now, main tasks have been carried out successfully. Industry production, agriculture, turnover of goods and commodity circulation are on the rise. Regional produce grew up in 15% that provided the 4-5 th position in national rating.
