Shtyrov inaugurated for the second time

On January 27, 2007 Vyacheslav Shtyrov was inaugurated as President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for the second five-year term.

Inauguration was held at the Ommolon State Theater of Opera and Ballet. Republic and federal officials, and representatives of public organizations visited the event.

To participate in the solemn ceremony in honor of Vyacheslav Shtyrov, high federal officials arrived in Yakutsk . They are the Russian minister of finance Alexei Kudrin, two Putin's advisers – Gennady Troshev and Sergey Samoilov, State Duma deputies, senators, and governors.

Inauguration started at 12 pm (local time) with showing the film “Prospects of Yakutia”.

Afterwards one announced republic bicameral parliament's decree on empowering V. Shtyrov to become President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in accordance with the Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal.

Laying his right hand on the special edition of the Constitution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Vyacheslav Shtyrov swore in two state languages – Russian and Yakut.

He delivered his keynote speech about republic development. Than he put on the Yakut traditional overcoat, and the ceremonial breast sign decorated with brilliants.

After the ceremony, spectators saw the gala performance “United we are strong!”

P.S. Till February 10, the new structure of the republic government should be approved.
