The Northern World Project
has been developed
The Republic Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Tourism and Employment together with the Government of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia) has developed The Northern World Project to apply for the federal competition on special tourist economic areas.
Ruslan Vasiliev, deputy minister of entrepreneurship, tourism and employment, said that The Northern World Project includes several parts.
First, within the bonds of the project, the World Museum of Mammoth will be constructed in the western suburbs of Yakutsk . The complex is proposed to have the Scientific Center of Mammoth Flora & Fauna, Business Center , Arts & Crafts Center , Osokhay Square , House of Folk Art, water park, and other various recreational zones.
The second part envisages river cruises from Yakutsk to Lena Pillars National Park as well as expeditions to the Pole of Cold.
The third one encloses the construction of hotels and inns in different Yakutian settlements.
A special governmental work group is going to present and defend the project in Moscow in following month.
If Yakutia will get support, the project will be funded from republic and federal budgets.
