Average earnings in Yakutia

According statistical report on July, 2005 – June, 2006, in Yakutia 493,500 people (51.9% of the Republic population) have been working and getting constant income.

92.3% was engaged in the economy of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia). 7.7% didn't work and search jobs actively, and only 2.5% was unemployed officially.

For January—June of 2006, mean income per head was 11859 roubles*. The level of the analogue period of 2005 was exceeded at 17.1%.

Average monthly salary increased at 16% and was equal to 14509.5 roubles.

In terms of salary, leaders are Mirninsky district (27633.4 roubles), Anabarsky district (22735.1 roubles), and Lensky district (18425.8 roubles). Note: Mirninsky and Anabarsky have high rate due to diamond mining industry. The mean income of Nerungri residents is 15920, but a Yakutsk dweller gets 15440.2 roubles.

The inhabitants of other regions, mainly agricultural, have much lower income.
