Information centers have exchanged information
Recently three-days seminar has been arranged by a little known public organization called ‘Northern People'.
In November of 2006, the organization will celebrate the 1 st anniversary. The initiative group that created Northern People proclaimed that its main mission is to assist the indigenous peoples of the North in their creative and professional activity within the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). More detailed information could be obtained in that seminar.
The executive committee informed that among seminar participants there were representatives of information centers of the northern indigenous peoples from 12 Russian regions – Magadan, Sakhalin, Amur, Irkutsk , Kamchatka, Tomsk , Krasnoyarsk , the Primorye, Altai, Buryatia, Yamal, and Yakutia. Foreign guests participated as well. Particularly, from Denmark .
The main point of the agenda was the strategy of developing cooperation between existing information centers. The objects of discussion appeared to be the problems and perspectives of management, regional Internet resources, legal assistance, network communication, and other topics. For instance, attendants learned much interesting in the workshop called ‘I write a story for newspapers'…
