Internet Festival on the occasion of the Day of Yakutsk

On the occasion of the Day of the City (the second Sunday in September), SakhaInternet Company plans to arrange ‘Internet Festival 2006'. The town holiday will be traditionally celebrated in the virtual world as well – on city's portal www.ykt.ru .

There will be three competitions: the best poem about Yakutsk , the best idea of municipal improvements, and the best picture. Winners will receive valuable presents, for instance, digital cameras and mp3 players.

Within the festival, Internet users will have opportunity to ask questions to Yakutsk mayor through an online press conference. Organizers will also arrange cyber sports tournaments for the Cup of the Mayor. Young people are going to compete in Counter Strike, Need For Speed, FIFA 2005, IL-2 (pilot simulator), and Warcraft III.
