Sardaana Syromyatnikova is Vice-Miss Russia 2006
MOSCOW. The Miss Russia 2006 beauty pageant finished yesterday, on December 15, 2006. An 17-year-old Yakutian student Sardaana Syromyatnikova made her way through the best three and earned the title Vice-Miss.
Fifty ladies competed with each other for the crown of Miss Russia 2006.
The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) was represented by Sardaana Syromyatnikova, a second-year student of Yakutsk State Academy of Agriculture with major in foodstuffs production engineer. Her height is 176 sm, her size is
89-62-90. On November 16 she won the Miss Yakutia 2006 pageant in Yakutsk .
An authoritative jury consisted mostly of Russian celebrities selected 10 finalists. Sardaana managed to get into that short-list. Afterwards, with Yulya Samoilova (Irkutsk) and Tatiana Kotova (Rostov-on-Don) she was left for show spectators to choose the best of best Russian beauties.
People's choice fell on Tatiana Kotova, of Rostov-on-Don. Besides the crown, she earned $100,000 and the right to represent the Russian Federation in Miss World and Miss Universe pageants.
In our turn, we congratulate Sardaana for her Vice-Miss title. She repeated Natalia Kolodeznikova's success in 2003. Whatever one may say, the second position at the national beauty contest is the greatest achievement for Yakutian ladies.

- Ten pairs of tights, shoes on high heels, a sport suit and an evening dress.
Why do you want to be Miss Russia ?
- Maybe, that is all about fame. However, I understand that this title is actually a very big responsibility. The winner have to help people and bestow charity.
