Edeizy flooded totally, 1127 people evacuated
The Yakut village of Edeizy (Namsky region / Yakutia) was flooded totally, all 1127 inhabitants have been evacuated, Yakutia-Sakha News Agency reports Wednesday.
At that place, the water level of the Lena River is about 1140 centimeters while the critical level is 978. 240 houses including 12 public buildings are flooded. People have been evacuated to 7 closest evacuation centres.
Apart from Edeizy, several other settlements are flooded as well in Namsky region. The village of Partizan has 22 private houses, administrative buildings and local hospital gotten under water. Here river waters exceeded the critical level over one meter. 60 kids have been evacuated. Most of them were moved to relatives in neighbouring settlements such as Namzy and Khomustakh.
In the village of Grafsky Bereg 159 houses as well as 13 public buildings were inundated with river floods. EMERCOM set up 4 evacuation centres in the area. The water level is over the critical one for 20 cm.
60 houses submerged in the village of 2nd Khomustakh, 53 people have been evacuated. The settlement of Arbyn has 85 houses flooded and 4 temporary residence camps arranged.
All the settlements of Namsky region have been provided with medical supplies and disinfectant agent, YSIA reports.
Ust-Aldansky region is under water as well. In the village of Khongor, 69 private houses are flooded and 260 people are evacuated. In Ogorodtakh village there 55 houses flooded and 370 people evacuated. 1882 heads of cattle and 556 horses were driven away to secure places.
