The Planet of Mongolia
conquered by Yakutians

Shintop Trophy: the Planet of Mongolia is the expedition originated and arranged by Vladivostok Off-road Vehicles Club. On June 1, adventurers finished the three-week long distance run in Ulan Bator . For the second time, Yakutian off-road drivers scored the best result and won the race.

The race had three competitions. The last one took place in the outskirts of Ulan Bator and consisted of two tests: jeep trial and archery. Once again our guys became the best in the test. As a result of three emulative runs, Mammoth Yakutsk Club team deserved the highest title. Vladivostok team occupied the 2nd stand; the drivers of Omsk gained the 3rd position.

Yakutian off-road drivers became the winners of Shintop Trophy for the second time. Last year they scored a victory in the race ‘By Kolyma Road'. Now they passed a hard test in the desert and steppe of Mongolia . Boys were successful in GPS orienteering (searching the ruins of cloister and an ancient volcano), a rally across sand-dunes, a camel race, fishing and catching rams.

Right now expedition participants are driving back home from Ulan Bator .

The route: Ulan-Ude (Russia) - Ulaanbaatar - Bajnsand - Bajanunder - Altaj - Hovd - Ulaangom - Bulgan - Ulaanbaatar - Ondorhaan - Barnaul (Russia). The trip took about three weeks.
