| A Significant Discovery
In 1871, the well-known researcher of Eastern Siberia I.D.Chersky studied the first paleontologic site in Russia found in Irkutsk . In Yakutia, he also dug out a similar "arsenal". It was a monument of Duktai culture, but archeology back then was not ready to estimate its importance.
In 1960s, the head of Prilenskaya archeologic expedition, J.A.Mochanov, developed a division into periods which defined chronological frameworks and the arsenal of the cultures referring to the last ten thousand years of the history of Northeast Asia . The multilayered sites of Aldan helped to result the collected data in system, and Belkachi was the first. It became one of the most important archeologic discoveries. Back
