Tumulur Burial
One of the earliest monuments of the early Iron Age is the single Tumulur burial discovered in 1966. The burial was found on the site named Tumulur and contained items from late paleolith up to early Iron. The site is located on a 12-meter terrace of the left coast of Aldan and 70 metres below site Sumagin I.
Except for remains of a skull and bones, five iron subjects were found. The object that looks like a flat disk with 14,8 cm diameter seems interesting. There is a large ledge, which obviously was a loop, on the reverse side. The purpose of the item is enigmatic. However, it reminds bronze mirrors widely spread in Siberia and the Far East both during the epoch of Bronze and the epoch of Iron. If the guess is right, the product can be considered the element of not a local origin culture. The subject of such kind was found here for the first time.
