Born in 1938.
Graduated from Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography (workshop of Nikolai Akimov). Member of Artists Union of the USSR (1968). Professor of Saint Petersburg 's Academy of Theatre Arts .
Awards and Titles : Honoured Worker of Arts of the Russian Federation; Honoured Worker of Culture of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia); State Award of the USSR (1986) for staging the performance “My Beloved Blue Coast”; State Award of the Russian Federation (1998) for staging the performance “King Lear”.
