Power Industry
The share of power industry output in the total industrial production amounts to 11.8 per cent. The power system of the Republic includes 106 power plants, including 97 diesel engines, most of which are isolated and supply district centers and settlements of the Republic. The largest power plants the Republic has the most powerful coordinated hydroelectric system in the Far East which consist of the Vilyuisk HPS (two stations with the total output of 680 megawatt, the third station with the total output of 90 megawatt was launched in 2004), Neryungri HPS (570 megawatt), Yakutsk HPS (320 megawatt).
The set generating capacity of YakuskEnergo JSC amounts to 2129 megawatt. The length of power transmission facilities of 0.4-220 kilowatts amounts to 22375 km . The total number of employed is more than 14 thousand people.
There are four isolated power districts in the territory of the Republic:
- Central, which unites capital's industrial centre and a number of central regions of the Republic, including the ones located on the other side of the Lena River and connected to the main power plant by unique 220 kilowatts transmission line. The main power source Yakutsk HPS;
- Western, which unites Aykhal-Udatchninsk, Mirny, Lensk industrial regions and a number of Vilyui agricultural regions. The main power source Vilyuisk HPS;
- Southern with the main power source of Neryungri HPS and Tchulmansk TPP, which provide electricity for Southern Yakutia fuel industrial complex, Neryungri and Aldan industrial and agricultural complexes. The 220 kilowatt Tynda Neryungri OHL connects the Southern Power Region with integrated power system of the Far East.
- Nouthern. Enterprises provide with work of autonomous DPSs in the northern regions. Total capacity of these plants is 385.3 megawatt, of which 296 megawatt is capacity of SakhaEnergo JSC (branch enterprise of YakutskEnergo).
YakutskEnergo JSC is energy power supplier and subject of FOREM (Federal Gross Market of Power and Capacity). As now the Republic has surplus powers of Neryungri HPS and exploitation of the first unit of Svetlinsky HPS, the Republic has an opportunity to lead the volume of energy transfer in FOREM to 1800-2000mln kilowatt/hour per year.
The Republic renews OHLs for stable and safe electric provision for regions. The Khandyga Dzhebariki-Khaya OHL on 110 kilowatt is exploited, its length amounts to 54.6 km and the Orto-Surt Ilbengel on 35 kilowatt works too.
The Mirnyi Suntar Nurba OHL on 220 kilowatt with length of 373 m is being built. In 2004 the first launch system with length of 131.2 km was exploited, including main bridge across the Vilyui River ( 1.2 km ). Total construction of power line will be finished in 2007.
Construction of the Sulgachi Eldikan OHL on 110 kilowatt is planned in the nearest years, with input in 2008; technical re-equipment and reconstruction of the Viluiskaya HPS Aikhal Udachny OHL on 220 kilowatt; the Mirny Lensk OHL on 220 kWt, Tabaga Churapcha Khandyga OHL on 110 kilowatt; reconstruction of nets in Tiksi, Batagay settlements and others.
Within the frameworks of Mini Power System Program the first in Yakutia wind-electric set is constructing in Tiksi settlement, Bulunsky region. Cheap wind-electric sets will be used in future to operating results. |
