The ethnic culture memoirs

The group of publication is a team-work of Institute, the Department of peoples and federal relations of the Republic Sakha (Yakutia) and SPU after A.I. Hertsen Institute of the North (Saint-Petersburg).
The purpose of this project is to create and to publish the group of the culture heritage memoirs of Siberian people as a part of universal and circumpolar culture.

The group of publication is presented on 3 modules:

- Languages and folklore of the North people
- The art and crafts skills of the North people
- The traditional culture of the Northern ethnoses: The material and inner world

Three big dictionaries of the North indigenous people languages were finished.

- The Jukaghirskiy-Russian Dictionary (by G.N.Kurilov)
- The Evenki-Russian Dictionary (by P.I. Bigayeva, T.E. Andreeva, T.N. Kudrina and others, supervisor of studies A.N. Myreeva)
- The Eveni-Russian Dictionary (by V.A. Robbek and M.E. Robbek)

Languages and folklore of the North people

THE JUKAGHIRSKIY-RUSSIAN DICTIONARY
THE JUKAGHIRSKIY-RUSSIAN DICTIONARY, contains approximately 11,000 words and phrases of tundra (nijnekolymskiy) jukaghirs. Every words and phrases and its meaning are illustrated by examples that gives a clear view of representation about the material and inner world of jukagirs. First of all it is supplemented by a number of vocabulary articles that reflect lexical unit reveled in 1990s on the way of translation into jukaghiskiy language capital work of Iohanson V. E. «The Jukaghir and the Jukaghirized Tungus».

The publication was made within the framework of main study program of ИОФН RAS “Historicocultural evolution, the modern position and prospects independent development of the North, Siberia and The Far East indigenous peoples (the project “The North Small Number Nations languages in the system of ethno cultural relations”). T.E. Andreeva, P.P. Bagaeva, G.I.Varlamova, N.E. Kudrina took part on constitution of the first vocabulary articles.

The book has the systematic description vocabulary concerning evenki people nomadic way of life, means of conveyance, hunting and fishing. i.e. the most rich and original layer of evenki langauage vocabulary, to reflect the life specific character of its speaker.

The EVENI-RUSSIAN DICTIONARY
The dictionary contains approximately 14,000 modern eveni literary and spoken language. Speakers compiled the dictionary on basis of materials gathered on many years expeditions and taking into account all puplished dictionaries of eveni language. This is the first attempt to create the scientific reference book to codify the functioning eveni spelling.

THE EVENKI OUTLOOK. The reflection on folklore.
In the monograph on the basis of the 20 year plus field materials gathered by the author, containing informations both about ethnography and folklore, showed the role of outlook in the life of evenkis, its reflection on folklore and archaic forms of outlook.
The author tried to reconstruct the complete epic universe picture of evenkis.

THE EPICS AND RITUAL GENRE OF THE EVENKI FOLKLORE
The monograph was dedicated to the study of the evenki folklore whos verbal creation was characterised as archaic and syncretism. The main attention went to heroical nimngakans and also stories with sole hero, as more archaic kind of epic literature. The ritual genres were revealed and described for the fist time servicing social and industrial life of evenkis and the legend of evenkis ulgura that was very important contribution into filkloristic.

This book is a collected folklore legends of the eastern evenkis, heroic nimngakans as just because this genre is the most developed in the east region. The evenkis nimngakans of Amurskiy region, the south Yakutia and Khabarovskiy kray inscribed in materials of the book.

The author wrote the material about everyday lexicon of jukaghirs, and held a semantic analysis of word and phrases in this monograph. From the everyday lexicon included following thematic groups which is systematized and processed scientifically for the first time: dwelling, utensils (also several instruments of production, means of conveyance, hunting and fishing equipment), clothes.

The crafts skill of the northern people is never vanishing from the sight and attention of critics and science. Ethnographers, historians, culture and science representatives write and talk about it.
This work gives samples of crafts skill to readers. The craft skill are unknown to the large representatives of special ethnic eveni people group audience of Berezov village Srednekolymskiy region of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia).

(XIX –the beginning of XX century)
The author gave the reconstruction of traditional metal decorations in the system of Yakutsk national dress in the monograph. The scientific system and classification of traditional forms of Yakutsk decorations, jeweler’s art, art and crafts specialties and Yakutsk jeweler’s art traditions are worked out on the basis of analysis of archive, museum and field material.

ETHNIC CULTURAL INTERRALATION AND INTERFERENCE OF THE NORTHEAST PEOPLE OF SIBERIA
The author examine the process of ethnic cultural interference in this work. His purpose is to systematize the products of art and crafts skills of the Northeast people of Siberia (evenkis, eveni people, jukaghirs, chukchi people and koryaks). He offers typological models to compare the art of examined nations, to find out traditional art features of one or another ethnos, to observe their evolution interchanging new elements of innovation on the way of long relation, to define the last parity with traditions.

(the end of XIX- the beginning of XX century)
The author is the first person who gave complex took up and systematized the elements of traditional material culture of eveni people. He revealed the typical feature of material culture in their territory of their moving and he held a scientific analysis of more traditional, typified form of dwellings, means of conveyance, domestic utensils and clothes.
