Nomadic primary school-kinder garden of Chukchi community “Nutendli”

According state authority's ordinance ¹43 from 01/09/2003 founded primary school “Nitendli”.

Distance to basis Kolyimsk elementary school named after Tavrat, N.I. is 230 km .

School works as legal entity since 2004. According the contract with local authority, community bears financial cost children-keep in 24-hour regime. From municipal budget bankroll a monthly wage to the 13,5 staff list.

Location: School is situated on deer-trade base within deer farming's rout near “Krasnyi Kamen'” (the distance to Chercky village is 50 km , nearest settlement is village Petushki, 20 km ).

Pupil's number: there were 2 classes with 10 pupils and pre-school class with 9 children in 2005-2006.

School works according approved schedule (9,9 rates). Educational plan of primary school is made on the ground of children' educational program in the spirit of ancestors for 1-4 grades of nomadic school, which was formulated by Institute on nation education problem of Russian Federation's Ministry of the education, research institute of national school of the Sakha republic in 1993.

Performance: 100 per cent, quality percentage is 36.

Education of North nation's traditional activity:

Boys - hunting and fishing skill's education.

Girls – fell dressing, îññó÷èâàíèå íèòîê ñóõîæèëèé îëåíÿ , fur sewing, beads plaiting, national cuisine cooking skill's education.

Program of nomadic school's development is in formulization.

Material basis: wooden building, standard furniture, education fund.

Technical basis: radiotelephony communication, boiler (200 6 ampere), electric boiler (12 rilowatt), washing-mashing.

MAIN SCHOOL ACTIVITY:

Goal: To provide educational process in parent's nomadic lifestyle conditions.

Tasks:

- Making of the conditions for physical and mental development of children.

- Development of children interest in traditional parent's activities, ancestor's customs.

- Education of chukchi language and national self-comprehension.

ISSUES:

- Organization of education inclusive of national and regional elements.

- To form in process of educational activity:

1. Knowledge about spirit world of nations.

2. Knowledge about traditional ancestor's activities.

3. Knowledge about flora and fauna of Thule .

4. Boys have to know hunting and fishing skills.

5. Girls have to know fell dressing, fur sewing, beads plaiting, national cuisine cooking skill.

6. Traditional cuisine cooking's skills.

7. Knowledge about folklore of their race.

On the morrow of primary school pupils continue education in Kolyimsk elementary school.

For the moment children' living problem has arose. Therefore, it's necessary to reconstruct and build new hostel as it was in 1998.
