Dangerous Long Waterway

The most dangerous 100-kilometre waterway is located on the Indigirka River between the village of Tebelyakh and the region center Khonu. It is called in different ways: Big Gorge, Momsky Rapids, Indigirskaya Pipe, and Busik Rapids.
The Indigirka-river is distinguished among the other big Siberia rivers with its big gorge. There are rapids, shivers, and sharp precipice coasts. The geologist and geographer K. Rudnich wrote: “Certainly, there are many gorges on the other rivers. But there is not such long and original like this one”.
