Anthropologically, like the Yakuts, they are close to the Central Asia mongoloids, but with a savour of the Baikal (Tungus) anthropological type.
The Dolgan language forms the particular Dolgan dialect of the Yakut language. Often they are determined as the polarest Turk language people in the world.
Their faith units the nature worships, shamanism and Christianity. The last appeared as the factor of consolidation of the Dolgans into the single ethnic community. Provided by Youth Assembly of the Peoples of the Republic Sakhà (Yakutia).
